It fills my heart with joy to welcome you back to another incredible year at Lakes High School! As we open our doors to serve the wonderful Lakewood and Joint Base Lewis-McChord communities, I can't help but smile thinking about all the amazing moments ahead of us. 

Lakes truly IS a special place—and you're the reason why! I feel so grateful to be part of a school family that celebrates not just our proud tradition of academic and athletic excellence, but also the incredible talents shining through our award-winning programs. Whether you're drawn to our distinguished Army JROTC program and State Champion Dance Team, expressing your creativity in AP Art and Design, mastering culinary magic in Culinary Arts, or filling our halls with beautiful music through Band, Choir, and Orchestra—there's a place here where you'll thrive! 

I'm absolutely beaming with pride knowing that our clubs are among the very best in Washington State, consistently earning top honors in competitions and Lakes’ students step up to serve in State and National Leadership roles. That's the heart and soul of what makes our Lancer family so extraordinary! 

Mark your calendars for these exciting moments: 

• First day of school: Tuesday, August 27th—we can't wait to see your smiling faces! 
• Football kicks off: August 20th—let's cheer on our team! 
• Fall Sports begin: August 25th—so many opportunities to get involved! 
• Lancer Family BBQ: Sunday, August 25th at 5:00 PM—come hungry for great food and even better company! 
• Picture Day: Monday, September 16th—get ready to capture those memories! 

This year is brimming with possibilities, and I genuinely believe that together, we're going to make 2025 absolutely unforgettable. Let's support each other, celebrate our victories big and small, and show the world what Lancer pride looks like!
